Wrongful convictions
This was what I got back from my professor and it may have been my fault for poor instructions but would you correct this paper you did for me?
Professor – “Your literature review is supposed to have 30 peer-reviewed articles. You have only 6 peer-reviewed articles. All the rest of your articles are from newspapers, websites, student paper, and more. I cannot accept this literature review because if I do, you’ll fail the course. If you were missing only a couple of articles, I would say that you could get a couple more. But in this case, almost everything you wrote is based on non-peer-reviewed articles, websites, etc. Two articles had no journal listed so it was not possible to determine if they were peer-reviewed: Gershman, Herrod.
The general outline of your paper is good and can be kept: False confessions, Eyewitness Testimony, Bad Lawyering, Faulty Science, Police Misconduct, and Overambitious Prosecutors. But it needs to be supported by research and there is plenty of research out there. You will need to take out information cited by non-peer-reviewed articles. You should be able to locate the articles fairly easily since you know the topics you need. You can leave in anything from: Albright, Covey, Duncan, Leo (2 articles), and Perlini.
