In addition to the attached recourses there needs to be some preliminary research, searching and reading articles in academic journals and/or book chapters that you can find. After conducting this preliminary research, you will have to design a work plan and, finally, write the working paper.

Working paper instructions:
How to write a working paper
First, students will have to find a topic of their research interest, related to the readings proposed in this unit. Once you have selected the topic, you will have to define a research question to guide your research and help you construct an argument. Examples of research questions can be:
o Why is the North Korean regime so determined to pursue a WMDs development program?
o Which factors have contributed to the expansion of radical Islamist groups in the North of Africa?
Second, students will have to identify some working hypotheses. Hypotheses can be formulated based on preliminary research. The evidence presented in the working paper will lead to validating or discarding the hypotheses formulated initially.
Third, students will proceed with writing the working paper following this basic structure:
1. Introduction
2. Development
3. Conclusions
4. List of references
A working paper always must include the following information:
o Presentation of the topic (object of analysis) and the research question (problem you want to solve or answer)
o Importance of the question (justification of research)
o Hypotheses
o Brief review of existing literature (explanations that existing literature gives to the proposed topic and which debates exist about this question).
