The Problem with Public Education
Position Paper: “The Problem with Public Education in 2020” Write a 1,500-word paper (double space, 12 pt. size, Times New Roman font) in APA format. This position, research-based (not an opinion paper), should provide an a) overview, b) recommendations and c) your analysis of all three of the most prominent issues in the U.S. Public Education System today: 1) Controlling Mass School Shootings, 2) Fixing the Education Policies of teaching Immigrant & Illegal Children, and 3) School to Prison Pipeline & Achievement Gap of Black students. For each of the three topics in this paper, you must organize your topics with the following Level 2 subheadings: a) Overview of problem, b) Discussion of Opposing opinions in addressing the Issue, c) My Recommendations in Addressing the Issue. Be sure to include an effective introduction and conclusion section for this paper as well. You are required to cite at least 9 different sources. This paper will be submitted via Blackboard so that I can test the paper for plagiarism or if the paper was written by a previous student.
