The paper will cover chapter seven, you will select either option #1 or option #2, support your response with citations and make sure you list your references.
Choose one of the two options below:
Option 1. Examine the role Technology has played historically in the Division of Labor and resulting labor struggles.
Address both parts A and B below. Be concise.
Concisely explain the historical components of technology:
Scientific Management and Fordism
Explain the immaterial Labour of Technology:
Specifically, Autonomous Marxism and the Role of the Prosumer.
Option 2. Explain the sharing economy.
Address both parts A and B below. Be concise.
Explain the main concepts of the sharing economy:
Gig work; define and explain it concisely.
Social and ethical implications of the sharing economy:
Define and explain the four key problems
Guidelines for paper:
Maximum of 1,000 words, not including Works Cited/Reference list.
Turn in paper by the due date in the Mylearning Assignments folder.
Cite your sources, use APA or MLA style guide.
Paraphrase or summarize the concepts in your own words as much as possible. Quotes should only be used when the original wording is critical to replicate.
You must have at least two credible or academic sources for each paper.
For sources, I strongly suggest using: academic articles; any sociology textbook; and the resources in MyLearning; Do NOT use Lumen.com, study.com, sparknotes.com, Wikipedia, quizlet.com or other similar sources.
Grading rubric for papers
Directly responds to the assignment requirements. Focused and concise.
Reveals high degree of critical thinking. Writing shows attention to logic and reasoning of points.
Defines key terms when needed. Applies relevant concepts discussed in class or in reading materials to the issue being studied.
Provides specific examples or data to support the key arguments or provide evidence of the concept being discussed.
Well written and organized. No grammatical errors.
Uses appropriate citations in the text and works cited. APA or MLA format required.
