Think about the types os media that speak to you the most. What are they?
I spend most of my daily life working online. So, the media that speak to me most is the internet. Nearly 90 percent of the media that connects with me in through the internet. Rest 15% may be attributed to the broadcast media i.e. through tv and radio. Very few of my time is spent (that too not on regular basis) reading newspapers or any print media.
Why do you think they are effective for you?
I find the internet to be more effective for me due to the following few factors:
- I can participate quickly and effectively with the contents and the content writers.
- I am exposed to global information which is of particular interest to me.
- To me, the content management (downloads, uploads, share storage) is much easier when I use the internet as media.
Do you think they are effective for everyone? Why or Why not?
Definitely, they cannot be effective for everyone. Following few reasons are cited to explain why some people may face using the internet as a suitable form of media for them.
- One should be computer literate to manage and learn from the internet.
- One at least needs a computer. All may not afford the same.
- Print media and other broadcast media may be more convenient to few people.
- Not all person are using the internet in most part of a day.
