Semester Project – HSM 735 SEL
Assume you have been hired as a Project Leader/Manager for a Corporation and have been given a project to manage. Your goal is to complete the project in a way to fulfill the goals of the internal and external stakeholders of the project, including your project sponsors, facility executives, patients, government entities and the like.
Choose your own project: select a project that meets your interests and inspirations, but must be one that requires improvement and management skills. Examples:
· A hospital has a high rate of re-admission. Your project is to lower the rate by 30% in a year;
· A company needs to digitize all its purchase order data;
· And so on …
The final semester project will include a paper about a – Project of your choice, in an industry of your choice – you will use the knowledge gained from chapters 1-10 of the text book and other course material, to act as the proxy project manager to develop a comprehensive project management plan. The content of the paper is mainly based on the theoretical aspects of project management.
Your paper should follow the APA format (double-spaced) with separate cover and reference.
