Literature Review: Genetic Engineering on HIV
In this literature review I have two group partners contributing to the work. We are researching genetic engineering on HIV and finding a cure. Each of us are responsible for writing a body of the paper. Our title is: How different strategies of genetic engineering can be utilized to eradicate HIV and how they compare to be in regard to the measurement of safety and success levels. Our research question is: Which of the 2 strategies of genetic engineering (CRISPR vs. Hematopoietic Stem Cell Therapy) is best to treat HIV in terms of safety and success rates. We formed 3 driving questions and I am supposed to research “What gene therapy strategies are safe/not safe?” (the other driving questions include: what gene therapy strategies have been successful? and what are the better known gene therapy techniques?
-Audience: anyone familiar with this field ie lab scientists, researchers, and doctors
-8 highly credible sources, 4 must be scholarly publications (such as journals), the other sources can come from primary or secondary sources
-need a strong thesis and synthesis throughout body
