Literary analysis over novel “a god man is hard to find” just add 2 more pages to the paper please
In lieu of a traditional final exam, you will turn in a five-page version of any one previous paper. This is both a revision (i.e. a reworking of old material and a reckoning with old ideas) and an expansion, incorporating new material and research. You have from now until the end of the course to work on this project (writing, researching, and revising). That said, the assignment is designed to be challenging, and will still require you to budget your remaining time and energy wisely.
Rubric:
You may choose any of the previous papers to work on.
The new paper must be at least five pages long. May not be under by more than ¾ of a fifth page. May not go over by more than half of a sixth page.
You must make substantive cuts, in addition to providing new material. No more than 75 percent of the previous paper may remain in the revision.
You must show evidence of having responded to my critiques and suggestions. Though you may not be able to get to everything and not all advice may apply, reckoning with feedback is a key part of the revision process.
It must be in 12 point font, Times New Roman, double-spaced, black ink. Must be written according to the conventions of academic English (e.g. no contractions, no colloquialisms, etc.).
As always, there will be an online rough draft workshop. You must submit what you have done so far (at least four pages) by Dec. 3rd.
