Part 1. Your lab report will be written and submitted as a word file. Introduce your topic. Describe the focus / goal of your question, as well as the sampling method, the population and the sample you used. Part 2. Create the variable and enter the data you collected in the variable and data views, ensuring all categories are correctly defined and all data correctly entered. Create value labels when appropriate. Make a Pie Chart for the variable Gender (Analyze – Descriptive Statistics – Frequencies), a Frequency Table for the variable Place (Analyze – Descriptive Statistics – Frequencies) and a histogram (Graphs – Legacy Dialogs – Histogram) for the variable Height. Show the curve for the normal distribution on your histogram (Open chart editor: Elements – Show Distribution Curve). Under each graph/chart/table, state what it is showing.  Part 3. Copy and paste your results into the lab report. These include: the frequency table and statistics box, the histogram, and the data and variable views into your lab report. Also, include a description of any value labels you may have created.  Part 4. Concisely analyse your data in a brief paragraph underneath where you have pasted it. Explain why your data is / is not normally distributed, and why you thought it might be.  Discuss the meaning of the distribution of your mean, median and mode and the symmetry of your distribution. Also, state the standard deviation and discuss what the size of the standard deviation tells us about the data. Finally, conclude. What does it tell you about your peers?  Part 5. Submit your lab report. Follow the same formatting guidelines for submission for all of your labs, as defined below. Ensure your name is on the lab.    Formatting A. Make sure you use the correct header formatting for your lab when you submit it.  B. Each section of the lab, as well as each graph / chart / table requires a bolded sub-title. The sections include the Introduction, Results (including the charts/tables/graphs, data and variable views), Discussion and Conclusion.
