For this assignment, you are required to choose a renowned, well-known and highly effective leader throughout history. You will then conduct research and analyze their leadership through the lens of the leadership dimensions that we have covered in the course. You will research and write your analysis in the form of an analytical report using APA style.

Section 1:

The first section of your report should be a synopsis of the leader’s experience in leading people, including the context and description of factual events that outline and describe their leadership experience.
Here, you will also define leadership effectiveness as it relates to this particular leader and describe why you would consider the leader effective.

Section 2:

In this section of the report, you will choose dimensions of leadership that you feel are most salient to this particular example of leadership. You will then analyze the leader and the leadership situation with respect to these dimensions to understand what made the leader you have chosen so effective.

A list of potential leadership dimensions that you can choose from include (but are not limited to) the following:
– Scientific approaches to understanding leadership (ie. Leadership theories and models)
– Role of individual traits and characteristics of the leader
– “Match “of leadership style to situation
– Power (use and source characteristics)
– Inspiration and Charisma
– Connection to followers
etc…

Section 3:

Conclusion – a brief summary of your findings and analysis. What made this particular leader so effective in leading others?
Your paper will be evaluated based on your critical thought, content and style and your level of research
You must use proper APA citations to reference your work. For this report, you must cite at least 2 academic sources such as peer-reviewed journals or books in addition to your textbook. The sources you use must be cited and used throughout your work.
