Executive Summary
In the first section, introduce your topic, its significance to business managers and your perspective toward the topic. Mention ‘the presentation’ you have prepared on this topic. Mention it only once in this section. The remainder of your summary should be dedicated to summarizing the topic.
In the second section, introduce the sources you used to inform and prepare the presentation and summary. Note the perspectives on the topic by the sources you chose to reference.
In the third section, note your personal investment and involvement with the topic, (if any).
In the fourth section, relate the conceptual and theoretical aspects of your topic, to the ‘hands on’ everyday concerns of managers.
In the fifth section, indicate to the reader your thinking on what researchers, writers, theorists might be saying about this topic in the near future. You can also theorize about what this topic will mean to managers and to the workplace in general. As you look ahead, convince your reader of the importance of your topic and of the perspective you have brought to its discussion and presentation.
Overall, your paper will be one page. You may include headings for each of your segments.
