The majority of the essay has already been written, now I just need the “results” section completed and a few things to be fixed where the teacher commented. Here are the directions from the teacher on the results draft:
Results Draft
Your results are “Proposed Results” since this is a hypothetical study. However, you can use past tense.
The goal of the Results section is to report your results: descriptive statistics (M, SD), any significant or non-significant relations between/among variables. If applicable, report main effects or an interaction effect. Use the APA style to report your results (find examples of APA reports in lecture slides posted on Bb). It is extremely important that you have selected the appropriate statistical test for the kind and type of variable you are testing (nominal, ordinal, interval/ratio). Your reported results are imaginary, and might support or not support your hypotheses. Be creative: come up with the scores for each group, make sure that your scores stay in the proposed possible range of scores for your DV; if you report that results are statistically significant, make sure you provide a p-value that is less than .05.
I have attached the instructions along with an example essay written by the teacher AND of course my essay which is what needs to be finalized.
