I have started my thesis and completed my project, but am having a really difficult time having all of the information come together in my thesis to make sense. I need assistance with writing the Abstract and Conclusion. Also, rewriting/proofreading/citing references/headings. I have attached the paper, the 2 tables that would be appendixes within the paper.

Sections of capstone and TOC

§ Title page (Title, your name, Capstone Mentor’s Name, Aspen University)

Abstract (Should be about 120 words about your capstone project (summary of purpose, method design, data, and findings), followed by keywords–do not include Abstract in the Table of Contents, do not indent). It should not quote any other author and is not an introduction, but a summary

* Table of Contents (Material that follows the TOC–use only these section headings and show the pages they begin on without the word “page” or “p.” ) Do not include any sub-headings

Introduction (Background, Significance, Justification)
Purpose (what gap is being filled, problem solved, etc.). This is the purpose of the project to NURSING, not what it will get YOU. Adds to the body of knowledge of the profession

.• Literature Review (This section should contain a discussion of OTHER PEOPLE’s research). Do not include your own opinions or findings from your data. Begin by describing which databases you searched, search terms you used, how you narrowed your search, how you selected those references you will discuss in this section. See the examples I posted in the News and read other scholarly articles to see how literature reviews are done.

Method (as appropriate for your project— may include research design, procedures, evaluation methods, etc.) Why did you select qualitative or quantitative? Why and how did you select your sample of participants? How did you survey/test them? How did you evaluate the effectiveness of your method? If you did a metanalysis, how did you do it?
Discussion of Findings (data analysis, limitations of project design, conclusions drawn) If you chose quantitative, what were the findings—discuss limitations of size or sampling. If you chose qualitative, share actual quotes and how you coded the material. What conclusion can you draw from the data? Did it confirm or contradict research found in your literature review?
Recommendations (what are you going to do in the future with this project?). Now that you finished the project, what are you going to do with this information and/or project?

§ Conclusion (summarize your paper). There should be no new quoted material in this section.

References–MUST be in proper APA format
Appendices as appropriate. Slides, surveys, IRB approval documents, etc.

The abstract comes before the Table Of Contents, so the TOC does not refer to it, but the other sections should be listed in it. ONLY use these section headings in the TOC, do not list subheadings.

***3. Submit a formal paper describing the Capstone project

Your Final Capstone Project submission must be professionally prepared and free of typographical, spelling and grammatical errors. The formatting protocol of the American Psychological Association is the approved format for Aspen University. For detailed guidance refer to the websites and resources referenced in the ProQuest Library.

The specific length of the formal document may vary somewhat depending upon the topic selected, the use of tables, matrices, graphs, or other visual supplements. The following sections should be included:

Title page
Abstract
Table of Contents
Introduction
Purpose
Literature Review
Method
Discussion of findings
Recommendations
Conclusion
References
Appendices as appropriate.
