Organization
Your review will include five parts with the following headings: Introduction, Justification, Target Audience, Proven Methods, and Conclusion.

Your review should read as a coherent paper. Although you will discuss a variety of points, you must incorporate them into unified paragraphs that clearly demonstrate the relationships between your ideas. Transition words or phrases and headings will be critical to achieve this fluidity.

The number of paragraphs or pages indicated for each section are suggestions only. They are meant to indicate how much emphasis should be placed on each area. Individual reviews will vary somewhat.

Introduction (1-2 pages)
In this section, you will introduce your topic to your reader. First, define the problem, issue, or need an evidence-based program would address. How is the topic defined in the research? Do definitions vary? Second, explain why your topic is important to the field of child and youth care. Include in-text citations using APA 7th edition standards to illustrate and support your claims for both the definitions and the importance of the topic. Finally, include an overview of your literature review as noted below.

Overview
In complete sentences, address the following questions:

· How many articles did you consult, in total?
· How current are they? (Provide a range.)
· Who wrote them? (I.e. what is the background or what are the credentials of the authors, generally speaking?)
· Why did you choose them?

Justification (2-3 pages)
In this section, summarize and present research that illustrates the importance of the issue, problem, or need you are addressing so it is clear to the reader why it should be addressed. See below for examples.

Examples:
· If you wanted to develop an evidence-based program on the need for youth to develop social skills, you would locate and present research findings that clearly indicate the importance of social skills for youth and/or highlight negative consequences of poor social skills.
· If you wanted to develop an evidence-based program focused on anti-bullying, you would locate and present research findings that clearly indicate the negative impact of bullying on children.

Target Audience (1-2 pages)
In this section, summarize and present what the research says about who would benefit from an evidence-based program on your identified problem, issue, or need. Is there a specific age group, gender identity, socio-economic background, etc. affected by this topic? Include in-text citations using APA 7th edition standards.

Proven Methods (2-3 pages)
In this section, you will summarize, present, and analyze what the research says about the kinds of activities, exercises, and approaches, the specific prevention or intervention methods (i.e. role-play, written reflection, group activities, etc.), that work best to address your topic. Based on your findings, indicate which prevention or intervention methods you might use when developing a group program on this topic. Demonstrate your ability to think critically and tie your suggestions to the research.

Conclusion (1 page)
In this section, indicate what the overarching goal of an evidence-based program on your topic would be. What would your program achieve? Consider cognitive, behavioural, and affective goals. Summarize the program choices you are making based on the research in your review.
