Instructions

Prior to leading your group in the Zoom presentation, take the Dare to Lead assessment accessible here: https://daretolead.brenebrown.com/assessment/ (Links to an external site.)
It takes less than ten minutes, and you email the results to yourself.

You do not need to share the results with me or anyone in the class. Only use them to think about what they say about where you are right now as a leader.

Part I: Must be completed prior to the Zoom Presentation assignment

After you review the results of your assessment, write a 250-300 word reflection that addresses the following questions:

What surprised you? Did you score higher or lower in any category than you expected?
What did the test confirm? For example, did it tell you something you already knew was true?
Which of the four skill areas you are most interested in working on or developing in the near future?
Is there anything you would like to specifically work on as you move forward in this course?
Part II: Must be completed after you have lead your group in the Zoom Presentation.

After you lead your group in the Zoom presentation, write a 250-300 word follow up reflection which includes your experience as you lead your group to create the empathy map. Below are some questions that may help you organize your thoughts:

Did you go into the presentation thinking about your leadership style and how you wanted to address the group assignment as a result of what you learned in the assessment?
Did you think about the qualities of a transformative leader and how you might address the group based on what you learned?
What tensions emerged when you encountered the different voices in your group?
How did you manage the input you were getting from your group members? Did everyone participate? Did everyone seem comfortable participating?
What was the experience like? If you had the opportunity to lead another group presentation using the same assignment, what would you do different?
Submit Parts I & 2 as one document.
