following articles to read for essay:
For this analysis project, you will examine the arguments posed in the sources that we have read so far on the topics of literacy, the digital divide, and information inequality (see readings for weeks 2 and 3). Your paper should consist of multiple well-developed paragraphs and include MLA in-text citations and a complete Works Cited page for all the sources you consult.
Specifically, you will answer the following (two-part) question: How would you define the digital divide, and why is bridging it essential for people in the 21st century?
Pre-writing: To effectively compose your answer, you will need to identify key points and arguments from the sources we’ve read to provide context, support, and evidence.
As you read the sources, take note of specific quotes, arguments, examples, or evidence that you want to incorporate in your paper.
You may use a combination of quoting, paraphrasing, or summarizing to synthesize insights from your sources.
Add the bibliographic details for each source you plan to consult to your Works Cited page as you develop your argument. See the section for citing electronic sources here: MLA In-Text Citations.
Writing: Your analysis should include the following parts:
An introduction that clearly presents your answer to the question posed
Multiple paragraphs that develop your answer to the question by introducing insights from your sources and key conclusions
A conclusion that describes why your argument matters: What have you learned as a result of this analysis? Why does this analysis matter to you or to society? What potential call to action does your analysis suggest?
A properly formatted and complete Works Cited page
Proofreading and Revision: Before submitting your project, review the Essay Checklist.

Grammar, Punctuation, and Mechanics:

Consider your use of quotation marks. Are final punctuation marks inside of the quotation marks? (i.e. “Biochemistry,” she went on to say, “combines biology and chemistry.”)
Have you used periods to end complete sentences?
Have you used semicolons to connect two or perhaps three complete thoughts?
